During a Tuesday (Dec. 19) interview with Mr Porter, Billie Eilish’s brother and main producer Finneas revealed that his sister’s next album is “85 percent done.”
While the update gives fans a clear idea of the progress, Finneas mentioned that the album creation process was not an easy one.
“I don’t think Billie was particularly sure about how she actually felt about the things we were trying to write about,” he explained .“Making a thing that you feel really connected to – it can really evade you.”
Finneas, who often collaborates with Eilish on songwriting, also shared that scheduling time for writing amidst his own busy schedule was challenging, as he performed 88 shows in a year’s time: “I think I got a little rusty. And that was scary. It was discouraging to realize that if I take time off, my songwriting muscle atrophies. I had to get back in shape.”
