Nigerian alternative artiste, Odunsi the Engine, has announced the release of a new album. His last LP, Rare, was released in 2018. Odunsi revealed that his new album is set to be released on June 21, 2024. In a post on his X page, Odunsi shared, “Ok, clear road. New album, Friday”. Despite not releasing a full-length project recently, Odunsi has remained active in the music scene, with the release of Denim EP in 2022 and production credits on “Jazz Up” from Lady Donli’s Pan African Rockstar album.

This year, the Nigerian music industry initially had a slow start with few artists releasing music. However, the scene is now buzzing with artists like Tems, Ayra Starr, Falz, Kaestyle, and others topping music charts with their new releases. Odunsi will be joining Victony as they both gear up to release new music on Friday. The title and tracklist of Odunsi’s upcoming album have yet to be revealed.
