Veteran rapper Common recently mentioned on the Drink Champs podcast that Drake’s father, Dennis Graham, played a significant role in ending their feud in the early 2010s. The tension arose from both artists being romantically involved with tennis star Serena Williams and referencing each other in their music.
Common recalled a tense moment at the 2012 Grammy Awards between him and Drake, which was diffused by Dennis Graham’s intervention. They both agreed to move past their differences, with Common explaining that he felt disrespected by Drake’s actions. However, after a positive conversation, they decided to put the feud behind them and Common gained a newfound respect for Drake’s talent.
