Nigerian American-based emerging artist, Osageduwa Malkin (also known as Oduwa), has garnered the admiration of industry insiders and fans alike with his performance at an exclusive listening party.
The vibrant event took place at EbonyLife Place in Lagos and was organized by Kaffy’s record label, Kaffy Kreative Academy, and Oduwa Cafe.
The gathering brought together a variety of entertainment industry professionals, including veteran artist Eedris Abdulkareem, Alibaba, Bankuli, Tiwezi, as well as friends and family members.
At the event, Oduwa presented over 15 tracks from his raw sound collection to captivate the audience.
He stated that the party was an opportunity for attendees to listen to his various sounds, provide feedback, and help in selecting their favorite from the unmixed songs that make up his debut Extended Play (EP).
“Tonight, I’m using this platform to perform a collection of sounds that I’ve created in the past two years of my music career so that you can experience the growth, transition, and storyline behind each song since I started my musical career in December 2022,” he said.
Continuing, Oduwa said: “The aim is to get direct feedback from the audience, especially the music legends and executives present here tonight because the songs are unfinished projects that need to be reviewed before the release of my upcoming EP this year.”
Oduwa mentioned that his inspiration comes naturally to him.
“Music is something that I can do amongst other things. Just play me a beat, and I’ll give you a meaningful song in a few hours. I’m not bragging by any means, that is how I work and I respect the art and spirit of music.”
He expressed his appreciation for Kaffy, his manager, and business partner, for being instrumental in his growth.
