Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has stated that Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), will not be able to challenge the results of the 2023 presidential elections in court. Ayodele believes that only God can prevent the inauguration of Bola Tinubu as President of Nigeria on May 29. He also claimed that he had advised Peter Obi on what to do to win the election, but Obi did not follow his advice. Ayodele’s statement has sparked a debate about the outcome of the election.
The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has stated that Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), cannot challenge the 2023 presidential elections in court.
The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, PEPT, is set to begin on Monday, May 8, to hear the cases of opposition parties contesting the declaration of Bola Tinubu from the APC as the President-elect.

Ayodele, confident in his statement, publicly declared that only God can prevent Bola Tinubu’s inauguration and made a veiled remark about Peter Obi.
In a statement issued by Ayodele’s Media Aide, Oluwatosin Osho, the spiritual leader advised the Labour Party candidate not to waste his time and resources by going to court because he will not emerge as the winner.
He also claimed that he had advised Peter Obi before the election about certain actions he needed to take in order to secure victory, but Obi declined and that was why he lost.
His words:
“Nobody can stop Tinubu from being inaugurated as the President of Nigeria on May 29, only God can stop him. I am not in support of the Muslim-Muslim ticket, God has never approved that combination for Nigeria.”
“There will be consequences that the country will face as a result. Nigeria will face difficult times with a Muslim-Muslim ticket.”
“Peter Obi did not win the election, he cannot become president. Going to court is now a waste of money, time, and energy for Obi. Even if he goes around the world, he will still not be declared the winner.”
“I remember saying Obi is just making noise, and I warned that if the Igbo lose in 2023, they will not have a chance at the presidency for the next 30 years – and this is exactly what has happened. I warned Obi that he was not prepared for the election and I told him the things he needed to do to secure victory, but he did nothing. Why is he crying now?”
