Rihanna revealed that she wouldn’t give Usher any advice for his upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show performance in 2024, stating that he is a natural and a legend.

Upon hearing Rihanna’s comments, Usher responded via X (formerly known as Twitter). He wrote, “Real recognize real. Thank you Queen @rihanna.”

It was announced in September that Usher would be headlining the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show presented by Apple Music, scheduled for Feb. 11, 2024.

Usher said in a statement, “It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”

Usher also announced that his ninth album, Coming Home, will be released on Super Bowl Sunday. This set marks his first new album since 2016’s Hard II Like, which peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200.
